SENIOR CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITIY:

We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented SENIOR CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR to join our team. As a SENIOR CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR, you bring seasoned experience administering construction contracts and performing office and site functions.  You have a strong understanding of the construction industry, industry standards, best practices and possess strong problem solving skills to address issues that may arise on site.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

·         Be involved in all office and site related Contract Administration duties (including but not limited to issuing formal documentation to site, submittal reviews, certifying payments, field review reports and close out documents)

·         Review drawings for zoning and OBC compliance

·         Coordinate with consultants and team members

·         Working with in-house staff to prepare instructions, revise drawings, etc.

·         Provide internal reviews of permit and tender drawings and specifications

 

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

·         Graduated from an accredited university program in Architecture or recognized Architectural Technologist Program

·         Minimum of 8 years (Post-Graduate) experience in an Architectural office, experience with multi-unit residential buildings preferred

·         Strong understanding and knowledge of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials and industry associated standards

·         Clear understanding of the relationship between drawings and specifications

·         Excellent time and project management skills

·         Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code and Construction Act

·         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in teams

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and Revit. Knowledge of Revu Bluebeam and other project management software an asset

·         Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License and car
