The Exchange is a co-working space located within a mid-rise office building in the Summerhill neighborhood of Toronto. Studio JCI coordinated the base building renovation and provided interior fit-outs for several suites. The Exchange centers around a large, open kitchen and lounge space that caters to members who rent office spaces ranging from shared communal desks to private executive offices. The lounge features a large scale lighting installation composed of hand-blown glass orbs in a variety of colours and offers expansive southern views of the Bloor-Yonge skyline. Heavy stone elements ground the kitchen and reception areas and offset the lighter glass elements. A range of private and shared offices in addition to boardrooms offer a wide range of workplace options.
